With this home-made device, you can fix a small grinder on a workbench in a garage or workshop. So it is much more convenient to sharpen drills for electric drills or perform other operations on the processing of metal products.

To make this homemade product you will need a minimum of materials that you don’t even have to buy, as they are almost always at hand. In an extreme case, the main components can be purchased for a penny at any scrap metal collection point.

The process of making the stand

As the base, you can use a piece of steel channel with a length of 22 cm. For fixing the grinder, one hole must be drilled in it. To do this, apply angle grinder and make markup. If desired, you can make several more holes to adjust the position of the grinder.

Also, for this stand you will need a steel corner and a section of a profile pipe with side dimensions of 40x30 mm. We connect all three parts using electric welding.

Four pieces of 3 cm long are cut from a steel strip, in which one hole must be drilled. We weld these parts on the sides of the stand - they will be used for fastening to a workbench.

Preparing the stand for installation

We clean the places of welds, if necessary, we process the surface with sandpaper and cover with 1-2 layers of paint. You can use spray paint that dries quickly.

We install the angle grinder on the stand, attach the entire structure to the workbench and you can get to work. A detailed process of manufacturing this device, see the video on our website.
