When you are away from civilization and water sources, you will probably want to use this method. Of course, if you want to survive. If you do not drink water, you may die from dehydration. If without food you can hold out for quite some time, then death from dehydration occurs quickly. With this workshop, you can learn how to extract water through the evaporation process. This method is simple and works pretty fast.
You will need a few things:
- shovel (if it is not there, then you can always use your hands),
- vessel,
- vegetation,
- tarpaulin / plastic film,
- stones / you can still use the soil that you dig.
Digging a hole
Dig a hole about the size as shown in the image. She doesn't have to be big. Depth is approximately 50 cm. Do this in the morning, as the more water you lose with sweat, the more you will have to recover it.
After you have dug a hole, place a vessel in the center at the bottom. It must be fairly deep so that more water can be collected in the ngo.
As you can see in the photo, I used a can for these purposes. For her, I made a 5 cm deep so that her upper edge does not rise above the surface. Next, you'll find out why.
Vegetation come in handy
Find the normal green leaves that are nearby. Put them in the hole around the cup. There should be a lot of vegetation. With the rise of the sun and its glow during the day, the water from the plants will evaporate and then condense on the surface of the coating.
Coating
The material should completely cover the pit and be stretched over it. Place stones or earth around the edges so that the film is in place. Carefully place one small stone in the center of the cover over the cup. This stone will direct condensed water inside the vessel.
Water from the vegetation will evaporate and eventually collect in a cup.
When this happens, you can enjoy a sip of fresh, clear water.
If there are no sources of water around you, you can try this method. The method is simple, inexpensive, fast and reliable, so use it.
