Are you planning to get a budgie? Or have you already bought it, but the cell is small? Then make him a good place to live, so that it is spacious and reliable. A massive cage for a parrot can be made from old scrap metal, which is often lying underfoot in a garage, in a country house or in a home workshop.
First, cut off two strips of metal of suitable length and bend them into rings. The width of the rings should be at least 7-10 cm. We fix the edges of the plates with clamps and weld. The result should be two rings of the same diameter.
Next, from smooth reinforcement we cut the bars of the desired length. The number of rods themselves directly depends on the size of the cell (that is, the diameter of the rings). Then we clean the ends of the rods with a grinder, and then weld to the rings. The dimensions of the door to the cage can be done at your discretion.
The main stages of work
To maintain the same distance between the rods, you need to make a template of suitable thickness. After welding, beat off the slag and clean the welds with a flap circle. We cut off the necessary number of metal rods, bend them and weld to the main frame - we make the dome of the cage.
At the last stage of work, we cut a “window” under the door in the cage. We also install the inside of the cage for the parrot. They should be matched to the size of the foot. From pieces of smooth reinforcement we make a door and hinges. Also make the bottom of the cage.
