From two plastic bottles (from under carbonated drinks or mineral water) you can make your own hands a simple mini filter to filter ordinary water. This homemade product can be useful, for example, in the country or during a hike.
But in general, it is more like a fascinating experiment that can be carried out with children. The principle of operation is very simple: water evaporates and enters an empty bottle, while dirt and impurities remain in the form of sediment in the first container.
To make a simple home-made mini-filter for water with your own hands you will need the following materials: two empty plastic bottles of different volumes (1.5 l and 0.5 l), a piece of a polymer or metal pipe, a feather drill and hot-melt adhesive.
The main stages of work
First of all, with the help of a drill with a diameter of 16 mm and a screwdriver (or drill), the master drills holes in the lids of the bottles. A suitable piece of tube is inserted into these holes, which is then fixed with hot-melt adhesive.
Plastic covers themselves also need to be glued together. Then it remains only to connect everything, and a simple filter is ready. Pour dirty water into a large bottle, and put homemade products in the sun. After some time, clean water will appear in a small bottle.
