Thus, we knit the carapace and change colors at our discretion. I want to note that the more bright colors, the more colorful the turtle will turn out. The diameter of the shell should be about 21 cm.
Next, we knit the bottom of the tortoise shell with green yarn. Using a hook, we knit with an ordinary knit circle with a diameter of 18 cm.
For the turtle, you need to tie four legs and a tail. The paws and tail fit the same way, that is, you need to knit 5 identical parts. We knit a chain of 4 loops, and then connect them into a ring. We knit the first row in 7 single crochet, but in the second row we already knit 9 stitches. The third row consists of 13 columns. Then we knit 6 rows of 15 single crochet. One part is ready. In the same way, you need to connect 4 more details. We fill the paws with a padding polyester, and the tail remains empty, it does not need to be filled.
We knit the head like this: make a chain of 7 air loops and connect them into a ring. We knit one air loop and tie the resulting ring with nine single crochets. The next row is increased by 2 columns. Thus, the third row will consist of 17 loops, and the fourth of 26, so we knit to the sixth row. Then we knit three more rows. Now we begin to shorten the loops, that is, we knit 4 rows of 22 loops, and then another 6 next to 18 loops. The head should be 12 cm long. We fill the head with a synthetic winterizer.
We knit a hat of purple yarn at first with the usual viscous, and then we make holes like on a shell. We tie the edge of the hat with columns of white yarn.
When all the details are connected, then proceed to the assembly of the turtle. Sew the head to the bottom of the shell, and sew the tail from the opposite side. To the left and right of the tail and head we sew on two legs.
We grab the center of the cap and the head with a violet thread. We unfold the hat and give it the appropriate look.
We put the synthetic winterizer on the lower part of the shell and cover it with the upper part. Pass the green thread through the needle and sew together both parts of the carapace. In the end, if necessary, we add a synthetic winterizer to the not yet wired hole and completely sew it up.
We fix the head of the turtle by sewing it to the shell so that it does not fall. Using a glue gun, glue the turtle eyes and a mouth of red yarn.
The turtle toy is ready! Such a turtle can be made not only for yourself, but also as a gift. I think no one would refuse such a soft and funny gift, especially made from the heart and with their own hands.
