A homemade stool on casters with a tool shelf is a great idea for a home workshop or garage.

Now you do not have to squat, repairing or disassembling any machine (mechanism), and at the same time, the tool necessary for work will always be at hand.

To make such a mobile stool you will need:

  • plywood;
  • steel plates;
  • wooden blocks;
  • building corner;
  • castors;
  • foam rubber and skin (dermatin).

The main stages of work

First of all, the author cuts a piece of plywood of the right size, which will be the base of the stool and the shelf for the tool.

Four wooden blocks with a length of 10 cm must be fastened to the plywood. The bars are installed vertically, and serve as racks to which the seat will be attached.

Four pieces of corner are screwed along the perimeter of the base, cut off at an angle of 45 degrees. As a result, we got the sides that are needed so that the tool does not accidentally fall to the floor.

At the next stage, it will be necessary to screw the castors to the base of the stool.

The author then cuts a piece of plywood for the seat. A piece of thick foam rubber is laid on top of it, and then everything is covered with leather or dermatin.

We fasten metal plates with holes to the racks, then we install a seat between them and fasten with screws.

You can also just seat the seat on the dowels by drilling holes in the ends of the bars.
