Such a smokehouse can be made with your own hands in just one hour (or even less), while it will require a minimum of materials to make it. As the main capacity, we will use a 200-liter metal oil barrel, which must first be well burned. But let's talk about everything in order.

Manufacturing process

First of all, you need to make markings around the entire circumference, departing from the edge of about 10-15 cm, and using the grinder, cut off the upper part from the 200-liter barrel. After that, you will need to make two through holes - in the lower part, in the middle and the upper part of the barrel.
Next, six pieces of suitable length (slightly larger than the diameter of the barrel) must be cut from a steel bar of circular cross section. They need to be inserted into the drilled holes.

At the next stage, you can do the smokehouse lid - mark the circle into equal segments and use the grinder to make vertical cuts. Then, taking the hammer in hand, the resulting "petals" must be slightly bent to the sides. For convenience, you can screw the handle to the top of the lid. That's all - the home smokehouse is ready.

Application

Since the diameter of the 200-liter barrel is large enough, it is best to dig a shallow foundation pit suitable for it. On top of the pit, it is necessary to put several fittings and we already install a smokehouse on them. Fast, cheap and cheerful, as they say.
