As a rule, preparatory measures before welding last longer than the welding itself. And most of the time is spent on fixing all the details in the right position.

Experienced welders often use various home-made devices that make it easier and faster to prepare for welding.

To make a simple universal device with your own hands for fast and reliable fixation of workpieces, you will need pieces of profile pipes, pieces of a steel plate, as well as a corner, a stud with a nut and other "little things" that can be found in every workshop without problems.

We make the base of the profile

Using angle grinders, it is necessary to cut profile pipes into workpieces of suitable sizes. Then, a square-shaped frame is welded from four segments - this will be the basis of the entire structure.

In the corners, you also need to weld small triangles cut from the plate (for greater rigidity of the frame). They need to drill holes for attaching the device to the table surface using bolts or screws.

Construction assembly process

At the next stage, a L-shaped vertical stand "with an arrow" is welded from two sections of profile pipes of different lengths - it must be welded to one of the sides of the base and reinforced with spacers. A hole is drilled at the end of the “boom”, after which an ordinary nut is welded in this place.

From a piece of a plate and a corner welded to it on a rib, a "bed" for blanks is made. You also need to make the upper part with a "window". A long stud with a pre-pointed end, which acts as a clamp, is screwed into the nut on the upright post.
