When you need to grind a large number of long sections of profile pipes, steel strip or building corner, then holding the grinder in your hands (especially large) for a long time is very inconvenient.
A home-made movable carriage for an angle grinder will help solve this problem. With this simple device, there will be practically no load on the hands, it will be possible to work more productively, without frequent breaks.
First of all, cut off two plates of the required length, make a marking, and then drill through holes. In each workpiece, two holes of the same diameter must be drilled. In the middle of each of the plates where the second hole is drilled, we weld a small segment of the stud.
The main stages of work
We cut small pieces from the steel strip (dimensions - at your discretion). Then you will need to weld two T-shaped parts. After welding, grind the metal surface. Next, you need to make markings and drill holes for the bolts with bearings.
When the main blanks of the home-made fixture are ready, you can start painting the parts and the subsequent assembly of the movable carriage for angle grinders. This will also require two steel washers and wing nuts.
