The author purchased a Breneran long-burning furnace for his garage, and the need arose to install a chimney.

Since the prices of stainless steel pipes “bite” a lot, for this project it was decided to use ordinary steel used pipes, which can be purchased practically for a penny on a metal receiver.

As a flange, the master uses a piece of thick-walled pipe with an inner diameter of 120 mm. The first step is to make a hole of the right diameter in the wall from the gas silicate block. For this, the master uses a punch.

The main stages of work

After a hole of a suitable diameter is hollowed out in the wall, you need to cut a piece of pipe of the required length. Then it will be necessary to weld the tee to make it easier to clean the chimney from the accumulated soot, as well as to drain the condensate.

At the next stage, it will be necessary to dock the two pipes with each other. But since they were almost of the same diameter, the master had to make incisions with a grinder on one side of the pipe. And so you can either weld or use the flange.

And then it remains only to carry out a test fitting of all structural elements, and you can proceed with the installation work.
