To give leather things a more expressive appearance, you can make some original pattern on the front side of the product.
The technology itself is simple and at the same time quite feasible at home. But if you want to repeat this, be prepared that, first of all, perseverance and accuracy will be required.
The main stages of work
In this case, the master makes leather sheath for a homemade knife. First of all, cut a piece of leather of the desired shape and size.
Then you need to download a template with the necessary pattern from the Internet, print it on a printer, and then cut out the leather blanks with scissors.
Next, the finished paper template with a pattern must be secured to a piece of leather using electrical tape or tape.
Then the author circles the ornament with a ballpoint pen, pressing it into the skin to make an impression. There is no need to rush - it is important that the ornament is well “imprinted” on the leather blank.
At the last stage, a piece of leather needs to be fixed on the table with adhesive tape. Then, using a tool for working with the skin, the author brings the drawing to its logical conclusion.
And at the end, the leather blank will only have to be painted in the desired color, and then still be treated with wax impregnation, which will give the skin water-repellent properties.
