In this review, the author decided to experiment a little and make a do-it-yourself jigsaw based on a small grinder. Or it’s more correct to say - a homemade nozzle with a file on a grinder.
First of all, it will be necessary to disassemble the old jigsaw and remove the reciprocating mechanism to which the file is attached.
From a thick plate, cut out a circle in the center of which a hole should be drilled. Then the author welds a nut to it and winds the resulting part onto the shaft of the grinder reducer.
You will also need to cut another piece of pipe and make a slot in it, along the edges of which you will need to weld a couple of nuts. The result is a homemade clamp.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, after installing the clamp on the grinder, it will be necessary to fix the reciprocating mechanism from the jigsaw.
From a piece of metal, the author cuts a cover that will need to be screwed onto bolts. Two plates must be welded to the clamp, which are attached to the grinder gear housing.
In the end, it remains only to make a support sole for a jigsaw. To do this, the author uses a piece of the corner.
