It often happens that when the valve of the gun is completely closed with a cylinder of mounting foam installed, part of this foam continues to come out of the nozzle.
In most cases, such a problematic gun is simply thrown into the trash. But in vain! It can be repaired.
The first step is to remove the foam bottle and rinse the gun with a solvent.
By the way, in order not to rinse the gun every time after use, you just need to remove the ball from it (it is pressed against the valve opening by a spring).
And it is advisable to do this as soon as you bought a gun. Then the problems with the maintenance of the gun will be much less.
How to repair a gun
The next step is to unscrew the nut with the nose, which is located at the end of the foam gun.
After that, cut off a piece of adhesive heat shrinkage of the desired length. Unlike conventional heat shrink tubes, a layer of hot-melt adhesive is present on the inside of the adhesive heat shrink.
We put a piece of adhesive heat shrink on the tip of the tube, and then heat it with a building hair dryer. After that, we wind the nut with the nose, and the gun repair is completed. As you can see, everything is very simple and fast. Glue shrink is enough for about 10 cylinders.
