In this review, the author makes a flexible shaft for an electric drill - it can come in handy when you need to drill something or twist / unscrew in an inaccessible place.

For the manufacture of homemade products you will need a speedometer cable from a car, a bicycle sleeve, as well as a piece of plastic sewer pipe.

First of all, we remove the axis from the bicycle sleeve and weld it to the end of the speedometer cable, having previously cut it.

On one side of the sleeve, the author cuts the rim with holes for the needles. Then this place must be treated with a grinder.

The second end of the speedometer cable is also cut off. It is necessary to leave the shank of such a length so that it can be inserted into the drill chuck.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to put on the sleeve (on the side where the rim was cut) a piece of sewer plastic pipe.

Previously, the plastic must be heated with a hairdryer, so that it is easier to pull the pipe onto the sleeve.

Next, we put the bicycle hub on the axis welded to the speedometer cable and fix it with a nut.

After that, the author installs a drill chuck on the free end of the axis (you can put a cam or keyless).

Then it remains only to put a piece of plastic pipe on the sleeve, and the homemade product is ready.
