This home-made machine is designed for quick cutting of metal workpieces at an angle of 90 degrees. It is made of profile pipes, and also has a swivel based on ordinary hinges. At the same time, this machine is made similar to a miter saw for wood.

The design of the machine itself is made of a profile pipe - segments of both rectangular and square sections will be required. Hinges for articulation can be used at the factory of the right size or made independently.

The process of manufacturing a cutting machine from angle grinder

From square and rectangular shaped pipes we cut off segments of suitable length, depending on the structural dimensions of the machine. Hinges are best made on a lathe so that there are fewer backlashes. If this is not possible, we make self-made ones - from steel round timber and pipe sections.

At the next stage, we weld a rectangular frame from a 40x20 mm profile. Then, on one side, you need to weld two vertical posts that are connected to each other by a jumper. Next, from a square section profile and four loops, we weld a vertical hinge system, which must be welded to the upper jumper.

After that, we make a horizontal swivel system, and also make a mount for angle grinders. We connect all the elements in a single design by welding. The cutting machine from the grinder is now ready for use. To reduce backlash during operation, it is better to use bearings instead of hinges. See all the steps of assembly of the machine in the video on the site.
