From sewer pipes, two plugs and couplings, you can make a simple "home" version of a pneumatic jack that lifts the load with compressed air. The device is cheap, as well as simplicity of design and versatility in use.

How to make a plastic jack

We cut off the cover from the plastic plug for sewer pipes, and we drill a through hole in it, into which we install a regular air valve with a rubber gasket, and tighten it with a nut. We insert this segment from the plastic plug into the coupling with sealing rubber and for greater reliability we coat the joint with glue (outside and inside the coupling).

At the next stage, we take a piece of plastic pipe of suitable length, cut along, and then insert it into another plastic plug. We put on it a piece of pipe of a larger diameter. The joints are coated with glue. Then we clean the surface with sandpaper and insert the resulting part into the free end of the coupling.

We lubricate the inner surface of the coupling, as well as the rubber band and the pipe with a solid oil for smoother sliding during operation. On the outer part of the air valve we put on a flexible silicone or PVC tube and fix it with a clamp (you can use ordinary wire). The whole structure is mounted on a wooden base, in which you need to make a hole for the tube.

Next, using a distribution tee, we attach a faucet and another air valve to the tube. On the lid you need to stick a round "flap" of rubber. Now the jack from plastic pipes is completely ready for work. We connect the air compressor and use the device as a mini-jack.
