If you urgently needed a large number of mounting brackets (for example, for mounting shelves on a wall or other purposes), they can be made independently from a metal strip. It will cost much less than buying ready-made corners in a store. To make such fasteners at home, you will need a simple fixture made of simple and affordable materials.
The main components for this homemade product:
- two sections of channel with holes at the edges;
- two long hairpins (guides);
- special conductor and interchangeable nozzles;
- bottle type car jack.
First of all, it is necessary to make a conductor from a plate and two pieces of round pipes that are welded together. Then we drill along the edges of the hole and fasten it with bolts and nuts to the channel - the fixed part of the structure. Now we proceed to the next stage of work.
Assembly of the entire structure
At the base of the structure, made of a channel, we drill holes at the edges and insert two studs into them. A second piece of the channel with a conductor screwed to the "sole" is mounted on them. Both channels are fixed at the desired height with the help of nuts, and a bottle jack with a suitable nozzle is installed between them.
The principle of operation of the device is very simple - we insert a steel plate between the interchangeable nozzle and the conductor, and then press on the workpiece with a jack. The result is a corner with an angle of 90 degrees with the desired radius of curvature. It remains to drill holes in it, and you can fasten the shelves to the wall or fasten furniture elements.
