A compact coffee table will become an adornment of any interior in a house or apartment - its design differs from the classic versions of tables, therefore it looks quite unusual and original. A solid piece of olive wood with "torn edges" is used as a countertop. The legs are made of square blocks of solid wood.

Also in the process of making a coffee table, an epoxy resin diluted with a hardener is used in the proportions recommended by the manufacturer. The wooden countertop in combination with a transparent epoxy looks simply incomparable, providing an amazing visual effect and ennobling the interior space of the room.

The main stages of work

First of all, we cut off five wooden blocks in size, saw the ends at an angle of 45 degrees, and then grind the surface with a grinder or on a belt grinder. At the next stage, we drill holes in the legs, insert furniture dowels, and then fasten the self-tapping bars to the rectangular "core" of the table at an angle.

Now we proceed to the manufacture of coffee table tops. First we make the formwork, fill it with a thin layer of epoxy resin, previously diluted with a hardener, and carefully lay on top a piece of olive wood. Fill with epoxy to the required level - the thickness of the countertop should be no more than 40 mm.

We disassemble the formwork, polish the surface of the countertop and simply install it on the legs, without additional fasteners. For a detailed process of making a coffee coffee table from olive wood, see the video on the website.
