Manual emery machine from gearbox from angle grinder

To make a compact emery machine with a mechanical drive (that is, which "starts up" and works by hand), you will need a gear from a small or large grinder. A part of the threaded shaft must be cut off from the engine and welded together with the washer to the tube.

Then we put a large washer on a metal tube (approximately in the center) and scald it in a circle. We insert the resulting part into the bearing with a cage and fix it with a clamping screw. We put a small bearing on the shaft of the electric motor, and then we mount the gearbox from the angle grinder.

Manual emery machine assembly steps

After a successful “docking”, it is necessary to connect this gearbox to another gearbox (in total, two angle grinders will be required for this homemade product). For reliability, we connect the gear housing using steel plates. From pieces of corners we weld a rectangular frame for manual emery.

At the last stage of work, we install a grindstone, and then we fasten the drive handle, with which the engine shaft with a circle will rotate through a system of gears. One of the drawbacks of this design is that one hand will be constantly occupied.

Therefore, if you want, you can make a foot drive - this is a more practical option. The process of manufacturing and assembling a manual emery machine from two gears from the grinder, see the video on the site. Write in the comments below the video what you think about the use of such a machine at home.
