For this homemade product you will need two steel pipes of different diameters (in this case we will use pipes with a diameter of 59 mm and 45 mm). The edges of the pipes must be trimmed on the miter saw with a metal disc.

If there is no trimming, we simply paste masking tape on the pipe edge to get a straight line, and cut it off with a grinder. From a steel pipe with a diameter of 59 mm, cut a piece 60 mm long, and from the 45th pipe, a piece of 110 mm. Before the subsequent operation, both workpieces must be brushed with metal.

The main stages of work

In a short piece of pipe with a diameter of 59 mm (center), you need to drill a small hole with a diameter of 6.5 mm, and then cut the thread with an M8 tap. Additionally, we strengthen the threaded part with an M8 nut, which is welded to the pipe.

We retreat 15 mm from each edge of a pipe segment with a diameter of 45 mm (length 110 mm) and draw a marking. Punch the part, then clamp it in a vice and drill holes with a diameter of 6.5 mm. Then we cut the M8 thread, and then weld two M8 nuts. It is not necessary to completely scald the nuts - just grab them from two sides.

Next, from a piece of steel plate, it is necessary to make two U-shaped parts of arbitrary sizes, which should fit tightly into one another. We round off the edges and drill holes in the "ears". A smaller part is welded to a pipe with a diameter of 59 mm. A section of 20x20 mm profile must be welded to the lower workpiece.

To assemble this device, you will also need inside a part of anchor bolts with loops and a piece of a wooden handle under the inner diameter of the 45th pipe. Now we start painting and assembling. The result was a useful tool for the manufacture and repair of handle knives.
