For more convenient and safe operation, the hand-held circular (circular) saw can be fixed on a makeshift platform with guides. This design will allow you to quickly saw various wood blanks. And the use of this simple device allows you to increase productivity.

For the manufacture of a home-made site with guides, simple and inexpensive materials will be required, which often lie idle in the workshop or garage - a corner and a strip of metal. For work, you will need a grinder and a welding machine.

Site manufacturing process

First of all, it is necessary to cut off four pieces of a metal strip. From these blanks, we weld a rectangular frame to the size of the support "sole" of the hand-held circular saw. During welding, the carriage must be controlled so that all angles are set strictly at 90 degrees.

The platform itself with the guides is made of four pieces of the corner, which must be welded together to get a rectangular shape. A metal carriage will be inserted into it along with a circular saw. In one of the guide corners, you need to cut out part of the shelf so that the engine does not cling.

Then four vertical “racks” are made from short sections of the steel corner, which serve to fix the platform on a table or workbench. They need to drill holes for screws.

At the last stage of work, we clean the metal surface with a grinder and install the site at its workplace.
