Do you often have to deal with a situation where you need to urgently unscrew a nut or bolt of a certain diameter, but the key you need in size is not at hand? Well, there’s nothing at all, including adjustable wrenches and gas keys.
Usually in such cases, everything that catches your eye is used. Alternatively, you can also make a simple device for loosening nuts and bolts from the socket head. For this, in addition to the end head itself, you will also need a bolt and nut.
First you need to mark the place for drilling a hole for the bolt. It should be somewhere in the middle of the end head. Then we make marking with a marker or scriber for metal, make a mark with a punch and drill a hole on a drilling machine.
Homemade manufacturing process
After we have drilled a hole of the required diameter, we grind a part of the outer side on the emery machine, so that in the end we get a flat platform. Next, we clamp the end head itself in a vise, and weld to the place where the hole was drilled, the nut.
Then we process the head on an emery or belt grinder, giving it a more presentable appearance. We screw a bolt into the nut, and put the head on a ratchet. The result is a universal device for loosening nuts or bolts of different diameters.
