Today, economy class countertops are usually made of chipboard, and in order to give them an attractive appearance, they are faced with plastic or laminate. However, if you have accumulated a large number of metal corks from glass bottles, you can make an original countertop from them.

In this review, we will tell you how to make a cool decorative table for decorating a veranda or a country house from covers. You can also take metal coins - it will look no less original.

As a basis for the countertop, you can use ordinary plywood, but it is better to use a wooden shield - it can be glued from boards. Then we mark with a compass a circle of the desired diameter. Cut on a band saw or using a jigsaw.

The main stages of work

Around the circumference of the wooden base we make a side from a plastic strip. Then we dilute the epoxy with the hardener, add the dye and fill it with a thin layer. Next, lay out metal covers on top (you can in a chaotic manner or think through an interesting ornament in advance).

Fill the covers with a second layer of epoxy. Then we heat it with a gas burner, and pour the third layer. After a day, remove the "formwork" and mill the edge of the countertop with a manual milling cutter. Then we cut the rack, as well as the legs of the table.
