With the help of a universal key, which is easy to do with your own hands from improvised means, you can unscrew the oil filter on the car.

Also, using this device, you can unscrew other round objects - for example, a lid from a plastic can that cannot be opened by hand.

To make a homemade universal key, you will need a minimum of materials: a bolt with M10 nuts, a piece of a profile pipe 25x25 mm, as well as a piece of steel tape about 40 centimeters long and 2-3 cm wide.

The main stages of work

From the profile pipe 25x25 cut off a workpiece of suitable length. We make the markup and cut out the excess parts. On the other side of the profile, two slots need to be made at the edges, and a through hole should be drilled in the center.

Cut a suitable length of steel strip (about 40 cm) and drill holes along the edges. After this, we proceed to the assembly of this device. Insert a long M10 bolt into the hole in the profile and wind the nut. Insert a steel tape into the slots, the edges of which need to be welded to the second nut.

For convenience, we put a wooden handle on the remaining free part of the bolt. It can be removed from any old tool (chisels, files) or made independently. Assembly completed.
