In this review, we will consider how to make a useful homemade product for those who have a summer house or a vegetable garden - a bookcase for seedlings. To do this, you need pieces of polypropylene pipe and board.

The manufacture of the homemade product itself will take no more than 15-20 minutes. The shelf is installed on the windowsill, and allows you to place more seedlings than if you grow it in ordinary cups installed in one row.

First of all, you need to cut two pieces of the board (or you can use plywood) 100-110 cm long and four pieces of PP pipe 95 cm long.If there are no special scissors for polypropylene pipes at hand, you can use a grinder or a hand saw for metal.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the author makes a marking and drills four holes in the boards with a pen drill with a diameter of 25 mm. Moreover, note that in one of the boards the holes should be through, and in the other - deaf (it will be worn on the pipes).

Further, all drilled holes will need to be cleaned with sandpaper (through can be processed with a round file), and you can proceed to assembly.

The lower shelf is screwed to the pipes using self-tapping screws so that it does not roll up and down. In principle, the upper shelf can also be fixed with screws.

To make the bookcase more stable, the author decided to make two "soles" from pieces of plywood or a board. Previously, they need to drill holes for pipes.

For a detailed process of manufacturing a bookcase for seedlings from sections of PP pipe and boards, see the video on the website.
