To make a home-made tile cutter for the home workshop, in addition to a small grinder with a diamond disk, you will also need to prepare some other details.
In particular, it will be necessary to cut eight bushings (4 bushings 35 mm long and 4 bushings 25 mm long) from a metal pipe with an inner diameter of 20 mm.
It will also be necessary to cut off two pieces of a corner 60 * 60 mm 12 cm long and two pieces of a corner 40 * 40 mm 18 cm long. The author also uses two more steel tubes with an external diameter of 20 mm and a length of 50 cm.
The main stages of work
In tubes 25 mm long, we mark the places where it will be necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 6.8 mm. And then we cut the thread in the holes with an M8 tap.
Next, we take a corner of 60 * 60 mm and make three holes in it with a diameter of 4 millimeters. The resulting parts will need to be welded together. Also, two corners of 20 * 30 mm are required, in which it is necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 9 millimeters, after which they are already welded to the existing parts.
For the further manufacture of the tile cutter, you need to assemble all the parts together. In a corner of 40 * 40 mm, on one side, you need to drill holes with a diameter of 11 mm, and on the other side of the hole with a diameter of 7 mm.
You will also need a metal plate 500 mm long and 8 mm thick. It is necessary to drill five holes in it with a drill with a diameter of 9.8 mm. After that we cut the M12 thread.
The author also uses an M6 stud and four nuts. All details need to be cleaned with a grinder, painted, and you can proceed to the final assembly.
Then it remains only to screw the grinder (angle grinder) and the device is ready for use. You can test it at work.
