Homemade magnetic holder for kitchen knives is mounted directly on the wall and is a wooden plank with neodymium magnets inside. This is a great alternative to stand decks.

The main advantage of the wall holder is practicality - knives are always at hand, and at the same time you can save a little space on the table or in the drawer.

The magnetic holder itself is made of walnut, but other wood species can also be used. Neodymium magnets are powerful enough to support the weight of almost any kitchen knife.

The process of manufacturing a magnetic holder

First of all, cut off a suitable sized wooden block and give it the desired shape. Then it will be necessary to drill in the blank (along its entire length) blind holes for almost the entire thickness of the bar.

Then round neodymium magnets are inserted into these drilled holes. The first magnet must be glued to the epoxy glue. And then the magnets are filled with epoxy.

At the last stage, holes are made on the back of the holder for attachment to the wall. Then it remains only to polish the wooden plank (the edges can be milled) and cover with mineral oil or epoxy.
