Live fire always creates coziness and a magical atmosphere. Safe and original bottle lights will fill your home and garden with a warm, soft color, changing the look of ordinary candles.

The author suggests creating two versions of fixtures. Hanging - they can decorate trees and cornices. And tabletop huts, surprisingly combining the texture of wood and the smoothness of glass.

For work you will need:

  • Keyring Rings
  • Strong chains
  • 2-3 mm steel wire
  • Candles
  • Bottomed bottles
  • Foil insulation
  • Gypsum

The main stages of work

First, we’ll make simple lamps with pendants for candles inside. Thick candles will be held in a wire spiral. To do this, you need to round the wire several times with a pipe identical in thickness to the candle.

At the top of the gimbal, make a loop to which you attach the chain. With fairly thick chains, a key ring is not necessary. For tablet candles, cut out the fastenings from thin tin or stainless steel.

Now we will create lamps much more interesting. You will need a thick foil insulation to simulate the bark of a tree. We will turn the bottleneck down.

Wrap the bottle tightly with insulation, tightening it with tape. Now move the resulting shape 2 cm below the neck and fix the edges, also using tape. Fill the neck of the bottle with thin foam rubber.

The molds are ready for casting. The mixture should resemble kefir, in the ratio of water and powder 1: 1. It will take about 12 hours to dry. Then you can carefully remove the insulation.

The final touch - and you're done!

With a wide drill, drill a hole where the neck is located. Even raw gypsum will be easier to drill. Three days later, the composition will finally dry out and then it will be possible to draw down the "grooves" for air supply.

Before painting, apply the primer and let it dry for 1 hour. Make the first coat of paint dark - black, brown, burgundy. And on top, walk with a sponge or dry brush with light dyes.

Almost ready. Such a “thatched” roof can be made of cable by stripping the insulation and collecting the wires in bundles. It remains to cut out of thin sheet metal soles for candles made of perforated stainless steel.

Now your garden and home will be lit up in cozy and unusual lamps that anyone can create with their own hands. You can see the detailed process of manufacturing fixtures in the video below.
