Do not know what to do with kids in the country while you work? Make a mechanical carousel for them to ride while standing.

Factory carousels are not cheap, so the best option is to do it yourself. Round and profile pipes, a nave of a car, boards will be required.

From the boards and bars we collect the shield - from it we will make the base of the carousel.

We draw a circle of the desired diameter, then cut it out using a jigsaw. Grind the surface of the circle to make it even and smooth.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, cut off a strip of metal of the required length and make a ring that we put on the base.

On the edges of the steel strip we weld two nuts, and then tighten this “lock” with a bolt and nut.

Then we cut out a square from sheet metal, in which it is necessary to make cuts for the profile pipes and the hole so that the hub can be installed.

At the base, we also cut a hole for the hub, then mount it on the back of the shield along with the plate and profile pipes.

Profile pipes need to be welded to the plate and hoop, and then remove the hub.

Next, we fasten the hub to a thick plate, in which we drill holes for installing long studs.

From round pipes we weld the central rack with side handrails. We weld a flange to the bottom of the rack for attachment to the base.

At the last stage, all that remains is to paint all the details and concrete the platform with the hub, to which the whole structure is attached.
