In this review, the author shares the idea of how to make the desktop mobile - so that it can be moved without problems alone from one corner of the workshop to another.
The main idea is to attach extendable wheels to the legs of the table (on one side). And this, in principle, is very convenient.
The first step is to cut one long and four short sections of the profile pipe. We weld the frame.
A certain distance must be left between short profiles so that the wheel axles can then be welded.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, in the upper part of the frame, we drill two holes, cut the thread and screw the ring screws into them.
Next, you will need two bolts and two nuts. Weld nuts to the bolt caps. Then we process the grinder. They will be screwed into the jumper between the legs of the table.
We put the wheels on the hub axles, which are welded to the profile pipes.
Then two springs are required. With their help, we fix the wheelbase to the table. See the photo below.
At the last stage, all that remains is to attach the wheel stops to the table legs.
