In this review, the author shows how to make a simple water separator (including an oil separator!) From a propane cylinder.

The design itself is quite simple - repeating it will not be any problem.

Before cutting a cylinder with a grinder or drilling, be sure to fill it with water. First you need to bleed all the gas and drain the condensate.

We recommend reading: a mini 12 V compressor from a cylinder from an old fire extinguisher.

First of all, at a distance of about 30-35 cm from the bottom of the cylinder, you need to make a slot through the grinder.

Then we insert the prepared union into this slot and scald it.

In this case, air with moisture, falling into the cylinder, will hit the wall and flow down.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the author welds a piece of steel pipe with a thread in the center of the bottom of the cylinder, and then winds a tap on it. In this way, condensate can be drained easily.

The author installs another fitting already at the top of the cylinder - it winds it directly onto the valve.

After this, it remains only to weld the legs from the profile pipe or fittings, and weld them to the cylinder. Primer and paint. Homemade ready.
