Preparations for the New Year bring joy to many. But most of all, children are waiting for this magical holiday. They are ready to learn not only a rhyme for Santa Claus, but also to craft various crafts. We propose to make Santa Claus out of paper with the children. The process of creating this New Year symbol step by step is shown in our workshop.

To make this New Year’s crafts, we’ll prepare:
  • - red paper;
  • - cotton pads (2 pcs.);
  • - small pieces of paper of white and cream color;
  • - glue;
  • - black marker;
  • - scissors.

The base of our Santa Claus will be made in the form of a cone. To make it, fold a sheet of red paper with a cone, after which we fix the edge with glue.

Trim the bottom with scissors so that the cone can stand on a flat surface.

Now let's get down to design. We cut out a circle from cream-colored paper, this will be the head of Santa Claus.

One cotton pad is slightly bent and fixed with glue.

This will be a beard, glue it on the bottom of the cut circle.

We cut a small piece from another cotton pad. It will be needed to decorate the cap of Santa Claus. We fix it with glue.

From a piece of white paper we cut out a couple of circles, and draw dots on them with a black marker. Glue the finished eyes on the face.

Nose Santa Claus cut out of red paper and fix it with glue.

For hands, we again need red paper. From it we cut 2 rectangles.

Glue them on the back of our circle.

From the remnants of the cotton pad we can make a hem for the sleeves. To do this, cut thin strips, and then fix them with glue to the bottom of the red sleeves.

Now glue the finished part to the cone.

It remains to supplement the costume of Santa Claus with a small pompom. From the cotton pad we cut out a circle and glue it on the top of the cone.

Our Santa Claus is ready from paper.
