Today I will teach you how to create a picture of "Pregnant" in the technique of contour quilling. To work, you need a minimum set of materials:
- a sheet of thick white cardboard;
- scissors;
- a toothpick;
- black stripes for quilling;
- tube with PVA glue;
- stencil drawing;
- frame;
- a simple pencil.
First, on the Internet, I found a beautiful image of a girl "in position", which is made in pencil. You can use any graphic drawings, coloring. The picture was printed on the printer.
Then she took a thick white cardboard, laid a sheet with a picture on it and with a simple pencil painted the entire image. As a result, his fingerprint appeared on the cardboard. This method is convenient because in the process you can move away from the circuit at your discretion, and there will be no trace of a pencil on a finished craft.
Further from the quilling kit, I selected only black stripes 6 mm wide.
Then I cut each in half to make them even thinner. Thanks to this, the future image will be more delicate and delicate. The texture will not suffer at all.
Started filling the image with stripes. I applied a thin line of PVA glue directly from the tube to the print of the drawing. I applied a strip with an edge, cut off the excess end and fixed the workpiece with my fingers.
This is quite painstaking work, so there is no need to rush. First, I glued the longest elements, and then proceeded to consolidate the shorter, secondary ones. Each part must be allowed to dry, so that the subsequent ones are easier to fix on cardboard.
Gradually, the figure took shape. I attached all the small parts with a toothpick. You can use miniature tweezers.
This is how almost finished work looks, it remains only to fill the empty space.
And this is a kind of finished work. Believe me, live she looks much more attractive. Just the camera is not able to accurately convey the texture and bump of the image.
Now you can put the picture in a frame and find it a worthy place on the wall or on a shelf.
Such a magnificent picture called "Pregnant" I did.
The technique of contour quilling is gradually becoming my favorite, I’m going to make a lot of such masterpieces. Monochrome (plain) paintings are incredibly beautiful, even white paper on a white background looks charming. But I want to create a pattern from stripes of different colors, and to further surprise my friends. Try it and you will master this unusual technique. You will definitely enjoy it.
