Rubber on automobile tires "grows old" over time, as a result of which it acquires an ugly grayish tint, which does not affect the presentability of a car in the best way.

However, this can be very easily fixed by using a homemade rubber dye for “cosmetic restoration”. This tool can be prepared in just 5-10 minutes.

Of course, you can buy a ready-made tool for blackening rubber in the car shop, but the cost of branded “chemistry” is unreasonably high compared to a self-made ink.

To prepare a simple and effective "garage" tool for blackening rubber, the following components will be required:

  1. glycerol;
  2. citramone;
  3. pure water;
  4. dishwashing detergent;
  5. glass cleaner;
  6. superconcentrate for contactless washing.

With the help of homemade rubber dye you can easily mask the real "age" of tires.

Also, this tool will help hide traces of long-term use of tires. This can come in handy if you are selling a car.

How to make a rubber ink

First of all, you need a plastic bottle of 0.5 liters with clean water. Part of the water from this bottle is poured into a mug or glass.

After that, take 3 tablets of citramone, which you need to grind, and pour the powder into a mug. Stir until the medicine is dissolved in water.

Pour a small amount of detergent, glycerin, glass cleaner and concentrate for a contactless wash into a plastic water bottle.

Shake everything well, and then pour the "infusion" of citramone from the mug (without sediment). Shake again so that all the components mix well.

Then we wrap the cap with a spray bottle on the bottle, and you can begin to blacken the rubber. We apply the product on the surface of the tire, let it dry, and then wash everything off with water.
